Day 1: Arrival in Chișinău.
Meeting place: airport, railway station, etc. Transfer to the hotel for accommodation. Free time for the visit and participation at the ceremonies dedicated to the National Day of the Wine, on the National Square. In the evening, the dinner in the restaurant „La Taifas”, a traditional style including a folk program.
Day 2: Walking Tour in the Center of the Capital City, Chișinău.
Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity of the Lord”, the Parliament, the Classics Alley in the Ștefan cel Mare Central Park, etc. Free time to visit and participate in the ceremonies dedicated to the National Day of Wine on the National Square.
Day 3: Chișinău – Cricova – Orheiul Vechi
Chișinău – Cricova – Orheiul Vechi – Travel from Chișinău to Cricova. Cricova winery basements being placed under the town of Cricova represent a true underground city. A city with streets and lanes with unusual names such as Cabernet, Riesling, Feteasca, Aligote, Sauvignon… and labyrinths with a unique microclimate.
The depth of the basement can vary between 35 at the entrance and 60-80 inside. Cellars in full, together with the production departments occupy about 53 hectares of underground space. Cricova cellars are the home of a remarkable collection of the wine - Oenoteca. Currently, the collection consists of about 1.3 million bottles. Unique exhibits such as "Ierusalim de Paști”, and "Ian Beher” with the harvest from 1902 together with another 158 brands from Bourgogne, Moselle, Tokaji, Rhein, that form the treasure of the winery. There are 4 types of wine tasting.
The travel to the Outdoor Museum Complex Orheiul Vechi represents one of the most famous areas with the remains of different civilizations between the Nistru and Prut areas. it is found in a rocky gorge over 200m deep in the meadow of the river Răut at a distance of 60km from Chișinău. On the top of the rocky hill, there was a strong geto-dacian fortification dating from the V-IIIth centuries B.C.E. On the opposite bank of the river, you can observe the ruins of the „New City” of the Golden Horde named Seihr-al-Gedid XIII-XIVth centuries, considered to be the Tatar capital city during their expansion to Europe.
Also, from the medieval period has been preserved an orthodox cave monastery "Adormirea Maicii Domnului" from the XIIth century. The visit to the Ethnographic Museum from Butuceni. The lunch and the homemade wine tasting will be served in a rural pension, made in a national style “Casa Verde”. Return to Chișinău at 16:00

Some words about the "National Day of Wine"
The organizers aim to promote healthy drinking and moderate wine, bringing the people to wine producers through professional tasting, visits to the vine fields, and unique moments dedicated to wine culture, art, and gastronomy.
The National Day of Wine is organized under the slogan „Respect for traditions, courage, and innovations”. The National Square will be divided into three wine zones: Codru (Centre), Traian (South), and Ștefan Vodă (South-East) + an area dedicated to Cognac. Each area will be represented by wines, folk costumes, handicrafts, and gastronomy that are specific to each zone.
To promote our people's traditions, the visitors will be encouraged to one item of the Moldovan national clothing. It will be organized different contests for the people who will get prizes from the companies that participate at the National Day of Wine.
Among the scheduled activities that have already become traditional, we mention presentations and shows of craftsmen, painters, and photographers, master classes, and wine tasting and culinary shows.
