Moldovan Monasteries Tour

Moldova is a country of monasteries and churches. The small territory of the Republic of Moldova has a high number of Orthodox Christian monastic settlements comparable with Mount Athos in Greece and Bucovina in Romania. Currently, in Moldova, there are 65 monastic places of which 61 monasteries and four convents, these form a Christian Orthodox framework throughout the country.

Day 1: Chișinău City Tour

Transfer from the airport to the hotel. The tour of Chișinău City: Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, the Metropolitan Cathedral „Nativity of the Lord”, the Parliament, the Circus, the Opera, and Ballet National Theatre „Maria Bieșu”, the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, the Railway Station, the monument „ The Train of Pain”, the National Square, the Arch of Triumph, the monument Ștefan cel Mare, the Public Garden, the Classics Alley, etc. In the evening, the dinner in the restaurant „La Taifas”, a totally traditional style including a folk program.

Day 2: Suruceni Monastery Tour

The visit of the monasteries Suruceni, Condrița, Căpriana, and Hâncul.

Return to Chișinău

Day 3: Frumoasa Monastery Tour

The visit of monasteries Frumoasa, Răciula, Hîrbovăț. The touristic halt at teh museum „Casa Părintească”.

Return to Chișinău

Day 4: Departure

Transfer to the airport in Chisinau for the trip back home.
