The Monastery Rudi is one of the most beautiful one situated in the village Rudi, 170 km from Chișinău City in a wonderful place surrounded by the forest and just in the heart of the natural complex Rudi-Arionești, not far away from the river Nistru. It is a monastery of mantis. The biginning of the construction date since 1777 and it was finished in 1828. Along the years the complex was changed in different ways. Initially it was a monastery of monks, later of mantis. In 1940 it was completely closed and till ‛90s it was a sanatorium for children. In 1992 here came back the monks but in 1998 the monastery reopened its doors for mantis.
