The Cucuteni Festival Tour

The most beautiful painted pottery in Europe in prehistoric times including the present territory of the Republic of Moldova came back to the Moldovan lands within the event Cucuteni International Art Camp. This unique event in Moldova is organized in July every year in the village of Ivancea in the Orhei district. It brings together potters, ceramists, and painters from different countries who are passionate about the Cucuteni culture.

A unique event organized every year in the heart of Moldova and joins the best craftsmen of ceramic art and artists from different countries.

Art Camp has a duration of three weeks and it takes place in the heart of Moldovan hills and forests it is accessible to everyone who wants to escape from urban routine. Art Camp is open to all interested people to know this millenary culture whose ceramic pottery is similar to a Neolithic culture in China, the last appeared 1000 years later than Cucuteni ceramics.

Day 1: Arrival

Transfer from the airport to the hotel. In the evening, the dinner in the restaurant "La Taifas”, a traditional style including a folk program.

Day 2: Chisinau City

The tour of Chișinău City: Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity of the Lord”, the Parliament, the Circus, the Opera, and Ballet National Theatre „Maria Bieșu”, the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, the Railway Station, the monument „ The Train of Pain”, the National Square, the Arch of Triumph, the monument Ștefan cel Mare, the Public Garden, the Classics Alley, etc.

Day 3: Balioz Park

The visit of Balioz Park and the mansion of the Balioz family, the church "Sfânta Treime", the workshops of popular craftsmen, the wine cellars "Pivnitele Branesti”, the ruins of the medieval fortress from Orhei, the oriental city „Sehr al- Cedid”, Tatar baths, the museum of archeological complex Orheiul Vechi, the rupestral monastery and the cave Butuceni, the participation of the Festival Cucuteni.

Day 4: Departure

Transfer to the airport in Chisinau for the trip back home.
